In 2009, StopGAP Dance Company was commissioned by the British Council to design and deliver training programmes for dance practitioners in Eastern Europe.
The training equipped practitioners from Romania, Bulgaria and Albania with skills and experience to make their dance classes accessible for disabled people. The programme was extremely well received, and is now available for practitioners in the rest of the world.
StopGAP has professional development programmes for dance artists wanting to explore integrated choreography. Artists will be introduced to StopGAP’s original concepts of ‘Adaptation’ for physically and learning disabled dancers, and have an opportunity to learn our choreographic philosophy of ‘Curiosity, Creativity and Play’.

All our professional development programmes can be arranged into a one-day workshop, or into three or five-day residencies.
We currently run a module in Integrated Choreography module at University of Gloucestershire, and have completed similar projects on behalf of the British Council.
