StopGAP has an excellent history of encouraging emerging artists through its Apprentice Programme; full-time StopGAP dancers Chris Pavia and Sophie Brown have themselves successfully completed apprenticeships with the company.
Our latest Apprentice Dancer is Hannah Sampson, who is currently being nurtured by our Lead Apprentice Anna Pearce, and the Apprenticeship programme is managed by the main company dancers and management staff.
Hannah and Anna are working intensively with each other as the next generation of integrated dance, mainly delivering education workshops and small-scale performances in the South East region.
In a ghostly atmosphere, where an invisible figure trails a lonely woman in a dark forest. The shadowy presence builds to torment her, and in her anxiety, the search to uncover 'the presence' begins...
This is the first piece in which Anna Pearce and Hannah Sampson dance together. Choreographed by StopGAP’s Chris Pavia, this ‘work in progress’ was first created over a two-week period in October 2010.
