Our Repertoire
As a Touring Rep dance company, we have a number of different dance pieces in our repertoire at any one time, allowing us to tailor a performance to better suit the venue and its audience.
Our work is family friendly and suitable for all ages and all audiences, whatever their previous experience of contemporary dance may be.
Where possible, all venues will include wheelchair access and disabled facilities, but please check the 'Forthcoming Performance Dates' page, or ask the box office when you book your tickets.
Traditional Theatres
(Small-to-middle Scale)
With a seating capacity of anywhere between 100 to 500, small-to-middle scale theatres allow us to offer a traditional performance programme, with tiered-seating, a box office and a more sophisticated level of technical equipment. Theatre performances will normally include an interval of 20 minutes (although not always, so please check beforehand). There will normally be drinks and refreshments available.

Rural and Community venues
StopGAP is one of the few dance companies that have a commitment to performing in 'rural' venues, which includes anything from a village hall, a community centre, to school or day centres that don't necessarilly play host to a large number of performances. Where bookings for tickets are through a specific person or committee, and available technical equipment may be fairly basic.
These rural performances have the audience on 3 sides of the performance space, with the movement happening in and around the people watching. These alternative perspectives and the proximity to the performers, give a very different experience of the show.
