In this vibrant piece of dance theatre, the StopGAP dancers plummet headlong into the chaotic world of an imaginary audience-voting TV show, where you'll meet some surprising (and surprisingly familiar) characters, as they desperately try to catch the spotlight.
Fusing the techniques of street theatre and integrated dance, StopGAP throws the audience into the theatrical mayhem of bizarre entertainment TV, whose powerful lure drags our wannabes through whimsical acceptance and rejection.

Commissioned for the Cultural Olympiad south east, funded by Legacy Trust UK through Accentuate and supported by The Foyle Foundation, Woking Dance Festival (premiere partner of 2011) and The University of Winchester.
Accentuate is a transformational programme of 15 projects inspired by the Paralympic Movement, which seeks to change perceptions and offer opportunities to showcase the talents of deaf and disabled people. As part of their efforts, StopGAP is working in partnership with the Creative Programmer in the south east, Caterina Loriggio and Accentuate to present this exciting integrated work at 2012 celebrations and events.
Following the success of our first outdoor production Tracking, StopGAP has been commissioned to make a brand new outdoor performance as part of the Cultural Olympiad in the south east.
SPUN Productions is a 30-minute show that can be performed twice a day on a 15m x 15m flat concrete surface. It features 10 performers, with and without disabilities, including five guest performers joining the main StopGAP dancers.
